Job Description
Duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail;
1. Feeding animals;
2. Taking animals’ temperature on daily basis and recording of the same;
3. Cleaning of animals pens and paddocks;
4. Preparing and presenting animals for germplasm collection;
5. Reporting any sick animal;
6. Dipping;
7. Preparing and presenting animals for vaccination and treatment as well as parading them when there are visitors;
8. Ensuring quarantine measures are adhered to; and
9. Assisting the Veterinary surgeons during postmortems.
Job Specification
For appointment to this position, one must have:
1. KCSE D+ or its equivalent; and
2. Meets the provision of Chapter 6 of the constitution.
Key Competencies and skills
1. Hardworking individual; and
2. Background in care of livestock.

3. Original Academic certificates and other testimonials;
4. Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) recognition/equation certificate for degrees, diplomas and certificates awarded by foreign universities and institutions.
Successful candidates will be required to provide the following documents:
1. Certificate of good conduct;
2. EACC clearance;
3. HELB clearance;
4. KRA compliance certificate; and
5. Clearance from a reputable credit referencing bureau.
