Job Purpose
The position is responsible for the implementation of the Associations Corporate
Communications Policy and Strategy, complaints handling and partners.
Job Specifications
The duties and responsibilities will entail assisting in:
i. Develop PR Campaigns and media relations strategies;
ii. Organizing corporate events;
iii. Preparing information, education and communication materials;
iv. Implementing corporate social responsibility activities;
v. Receiving and recording public complaints and preparing reports to relevant authorities;
vi. Research for production of documentaries and infomercials;
vii. Developing and updating content for website and digital platforms;
viii. Drafting speeches in consultation with heads of departments;
ix. Undertaking media assignments including media invites and, preparing press releases
and organizing for press conferences;
x. Maintaining and updating media contacts;
xi. Undertaking media monitoring and maintaining relations with media;
xii. Prepare and submit PR reports;
xiii. Manage PR Issues.
Person Specifications For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
i. Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communication Studies, Mass Communications,
Journalism, Marketing or equivalent qualifications from a recognized college; and;
ii. Proficiency in Computer Applications;
iii. Fulfil the requirements of Charter.
Languages
Fluency in one of the following working languages:
i. English;
ii. French;
iii. Portugese.
