Job Purpose / Job Summary
The Sub-County Administrator shall be responsible for the coordination, management and supervision of the general administrative functions in the Sub-County Unit. The Sub County Administrator shall be reporting to the Chief Officer for Governance Administration and Devolution:
Duties and Responsibilities
i) Coordinating the management and supervision of the general administrative functions;
(i) Developing policies and plans;
(ii) Ensuring effective service delivery;
(iii) Coordinating developmental activities to empower the community;
(iv) Providing and maintaining infrastructure and facilities of public services;
(v) Managing the County Public service;
(vi) Facilitating and coordinating citizen participation in the development of policies and plans and delivery of services; and
(vii) Performing any other duties and responsibilities that shall be assigned by the supervisor (s) from time to time
Requirements for Appointment
(i) Be a Kenyan citizen;
(ii) Be a holder of at least a first degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
(iii) Working experience of not less than ten years;
(iv) Have qualifications and knowledge in administration or management; and
(v) Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
