EXAMINATIONS OFFICER (ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION), KNEC GRADE 7
(1 POST)
a) Job Specifications
The duties and responsibilities will entail:
(i) Participating in curriculum development activities;
(ii) Validation of Curriculum Designs for assessment
(iii) Recruitment and training of contracted professionals
(iv) Development of assessment tools
(v) Proofreading and approving assessment tools for banking;
(vi) Providing input in the preparation of divisional work plans, procurement
plans, and budgets;
(vii) Participating in awards and grading;
(viii) Preparing examination feedback reports;
(ix) Ensuring security and confidentiality of all examination and assessment
materials;
(x) Keeping abreast with trends in psychometrics;
(xi) Adhering to the requirements of the Quality Management Systems for
continual improvement;
(b) Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
(i) Bachelors Degree in Education with specialization in Islamic Religious
Education and Histtory from a recognized institution OR Bachelors Degree in a
relevant discipline plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized
institution OR a Higher Diploma in a relevant discipline and a Diploma in Technical
Education from a recognized institution and At least four (4) years cumulative
teaching experience;
(ii) Demonstrated competence and merit in work performance;
(iii)Proficiency in computer applications;
(iv)Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution only for the successful
applicants.
