Our client, a global player with a diverse portfolio of expertise across multiple industries is looking for General Manager to run a Tractor Distribution business in Nakuru. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the service and spares team. Must have technical knowledge of Tractors so he can train the sales team. Must have excellent sales skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• To manage the overall performance of the business.
• Managing the service and spares team and needs to be able to guide them.
• Be the profit centre head for Tractor Distribution business and as such also manage the accounts and admin teams and report to the country head on all activities.
• Travel to the farming areas along with the sales executives and bring sales of tractors.
• Ensuring that the company is staffed with capable and competent people.
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
• Maintain quality standards by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Managing and leading the teams i.e sales and technical team.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
• Any other job that may be given to the jobholder from time to time.
Qualifications:
• Must have a technical/business bachelor’s degree.
• Must have technical knowledge on Tractor to train the sales.
• Must have experience in a similar position.
• Demonstrated business acumen.
• Effective interpersonal skills coupled with strong leadership skills.
• A strategic and creative thinker.
• Organized, accurate and detail-oriented.
