Job Description
Overall Role Purpose
Configuring hardware and software, setting up peripherals such as printers, projectors and Apple TVs, repairing equipment, and providing daily support for computer network users. He/She will be the first point of support for staff and students, as well as keep an updated inventory of all academy ICT equipment and devices.
Key Responsibilities
• Will be the first point of call for student and staff support on hardware or network issues.
• Work with students and staff to identify and deliver required technical service.
• Liaise with, and provide training and support to, students and staff on computer/device operation and other issues.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products.
• Where required, install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software and networking software products.
• Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for students and staff, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
• Develop and maintain an inventory of all iPads, MacBooks, iMacs, Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Projectors and any other academy owned devices deployed to staff and students.
• Perform basic configuration and maintenance of the academy CISCO enterprise network systems and devices.
Person’s Specifications
• Under Graduate degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science or any other related field.
• At least 2 years user support working experience in a busy IT environment.
• CCNA (switching and routing) Certification
• Experience in configuring Cisco network Equipment (Routers, switches).
• Experience in apple devices support is an added advantage.
