ADVERT NO. NG-CDFB/021/2022: STATISTICIAN - NG-CDF SCALE 6 (1 post)
a) Requirements for Appointment
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:
i. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
ii. Proficiency in computer applications;
iii. Good analytical skills;
iv. Knowledge of statistical analytical software packages;
v. Good writing and communication skills; and
vi. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.
b) Duties and Responsibilities
The Statistician will report to the Manager, Research and Statistics and will be responsible for the
following:
i. Set up control procedures for receiving data and take necessary action;
ii. Statistical analysis and data management;
iii. Develop appropriate survey questionnaires for data collection;
iv. Collect, collate and store constituency data for analysis;
v. Check, clean and prepare the data for analysis;
vi. Actively interrogate the data for discrepancies, errors, and missing data, in order to verify its
accuracy and validity;
vii. Analyze data, discuss and interpret results and prepare appropriate reports;
viii. Prepare and submit reports on specific assignments;
ix. Update the organization's statistics database; and
x. Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor.
