Job Specification
The Director Enforcement is responsible to the Executive Director for: -
a. Managing the core functions of enforcement Directorate;
b. Coordinating the development and implementation of short-, medium- and long-term institutional strategies in enforcement;
c. Coordinating the preparation of respective board papers;
d. Supervising, training and developing the staff in the department;
e. Coordinating and supervising field enforcement services;
f. Overseeing preparation of work plans and budgetary proposals and proper management of the resources allocated to the department;
g. Coordinating and overseeing the timely preparation of quarterly and annual reports and papers for the Board on matters relating to enforcement issues;
h. Initiate policy research on enforcement issues;
i. Prepare briefs, papers and memoranda;
j. Develop strategies for stakeholder consultations and engagements;
k. Be responsible for the implementation and realization of the department’s strategic plans & objectives and performance appraisal systems in the department;
l. Be responsible for coordination of investigations of cases arising out of Enforcement of the Act; and
m. Perform any other duties which may be assigned.
Person Specifications
For appointment to the position of Director Enforcement, a person must have:
a. A Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
b. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
c. Professional qualification and membership to a professional body where applicable;
d. A minimum period of twelve (12) years’ cumulative work experience;
e. At least six (6) years relevant work experience in management
f. Proficiency in computer applications; and
g. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
