SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICER, JOB GRADE CDA 6
Job Summary
The job holder will participate and support all activities pertaining to the supply chain
function
Reporting
The successful candidate will report to the Manager – Procurement and Supply Chain
but should be ready to work at any offices of CDA located within its Area of Jurisdiction.
Key Duties and responsibilities:
• Participate in the preparation of tender documents, requests for proposals, and
expression of interests;
• Receiving and opening of tenders/quotation documents;
• Participating in the evaluation of tenders/quotations;
• Assisting in the preparation of Statutory Reports;
• Participating in the preparation of annual procurement and disposal plans;
• Participate in the preparation and submitting procurement reports;
• Undertaking inspection and acceptance of goods, services and works;
• Undertaking disposal of stores and equipment; and inventory management and control
• Carrying out periodic market survey;
• Preparing and dispatching of Local Purchase Order (LPO) and Local Service Order
(LSO); and
• Participating and conducting periodic and annual stock taking.
Requirements for Appointment:
• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: - Procurement and Supplies
Management, Procurement and Logistics, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies
Management Option), Economics, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification
from a recognized Institution.
• Be a member of professional body either CIPS /KISM with a practicing license for at
least 2 years.
• Be proficient in computer applications.
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
• Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Note: Appointment to this grade will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms as per
the Human Resource Policy & Procedure Manual.
Salary Scale as per scales given by Salary & Remuneration Commission of Kenya.
