DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
• Implementing fisheries Policy and research.
• Developing Monitoring, Control and Surveillance (MCS) strategies ;
• Coordinating protection of fisheries ecosystem;
• management and licensing of fisher folk and fishing vessels;
• Coordinating the establishment of technical committees on fish quality and safety;
• Compiling, reports and briefs ;
• Supervising staff in the ward
• Implementation of Government projects.
• Promoting fish farming (Aquaculture) in the sub County;
• Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting of fisheries policies and Programmes;
• Promoting ornamental and sport fisheries in the county
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Management or any other related field
• Member of Aquaculture Association of Kenya (AAK)
• 2 years’ work experience in related field
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPOINTMENT
Applicants are required to get clearance from the following institutions to meet requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya:
• Kenya Revenue Authority
• Higher Education Loans Board
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
• Criminal Investigation Department
• Credit Reference Bureau
