JOB GROUP āLā (NYACASB 8)
(a) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Ensuring that letters are appropriately filed and marked to action officers;
ii. Controlling and opening of files and updating file index;
iii. Ensuring security of information/files in the registry;
iv. Assisting in archiving and retrieval of e-records
v. Up-dating and maintaining up-to-date file movement records; and
vi. Ascertaining the general cleanliness of the registry.
(b) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
i. A diploma in any of the following: Records/ Information Management, Information/Library Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution or Examination Body;
ii. Proficiency in computer applications; and
iii. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
iv. Meets the requirements of Leadership and Integrity set out in Chapter six of Kenyan
Constitution.
