HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER I JOB GROUP ‘M’ (NYACASB 7) - ONE (1) POST
(a) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Updating and processing of monthly payroll including updating the IPPD with various
changes every month, and further ensuring reconciliation of monthly payroll.
ii. Receiving, recording, analyzing and processing of MCAs and Board sittings in the system in compliance with the set SRC guidelines
iii. Supporting and ensuring that all statutory deductions are paid and remitted timely
including and not limited to KRA, NSSF, NSSF, HELB, Pension and gratuity among other
deductions to various institutions.
iv. Maintaining staff establishment, employee records and human resource information
systems in personal files and on GHRIS;
v. Assisting in ensuring compliance with various regulations and guidelines in the Human
Resource operations.
vi. Attending to various employee concerns and advising them on various Human Resource matters including and not limited to medical, loans applications and pay slips.
vii. Processing leave applications for employees and keeping an updated leave records and related documents
viii. Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from to time.
(b) Minimum requirements for appointment
A suitable candidate for appointment to this position shall be considered against the following
Qualifications
i. A Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or any social science relevant to
human resource management;
ii. Must be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM);
iii. Show merit and ability in relevant performance and results through previous work experience
iv. Demonstrate knowledge on the application of human resource management; and
v. Meets the requirements of Leadership and Integrity set out in Chapter six of Kenyan
Constitution
