V/NO. 28/2022: COOK JOB GROUP āEā [TWO (2) POSTS]
Terms of Service: Contract
Salaries and Remuneration: As prescribed by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
Duties and responsibilities: -
e) Food preparation and production;
f) Setting up and directing placement of food;
g) Maintaining hygiene by ensuring cleaning of the kitchen and its surroundings;
h) Maintaining correct stock levels;
i) Detecting and reporting defective equipment;
j) Ensuring proper stock rotation;
k) Ordering of food stuffs and
l) Any other duty that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements for appointment: -
For appointment to this grade, a person must be in possession of:-
a) At least Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D or its equivalent;
b) Craft certificate in food and beverage production, sales and service or its equivalent
qualification from a recognized institution;
OR
Attended a formal course lasting not less than two months in food production organized by the
Kenya Utalii College or other recognized institution.
