MANAGER, REGISTRATION (GRADE NTSA 4) – REF NTSA/05/2023/14
The office holder will be responsible to the Deputy Director, Registration for coordination,
implementation, and supervision of departmental staff. The job holder will implement
policies and programmes that ensure registration of motor vehicles, transfer and
management of records is done in compliance with approved business processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Providing efficient management of the division
• Formulating of policies, procedures and general administrative matters,
• Developing comprehensive annual work plan based on the strategic plan,
• Formulating strategies to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services,
• Reviewing and submitting relevant operational reports,
• Overseeing compliance related issues/activities,
• Dealing with training related issues,
• Responding to risk management and internal audit queries,
• Ensuring that compliance risks management (CRM) initiatives are aligned to the
corporate compliance risks management policy and framework,
• Coordinating the signing of performance contracts and appraisal of staff within the
stipulated timelines,
• Facilitating availability of working tools and adequate materials,
• Monitoring supplies of number plates, and maintaining close contact with the
procurement division.
Key Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Economics,
Commerce, Law, Engineering, Transport Management or a related field from a
recognized institution;
• Master’s Degree in any of the above disciplines from a recognized institution will be an
added advantage;
• At least ten (10) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been at
a middle management position in a comparable organization;
• Diploma in Urban Transport Management and Planning from a recognized institution
is an added advantage;
• Attended a Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a
recognized institution;
• Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence, managerial and
administrative capability in work performance and exhibit a thorough understanding of
Authority’s goals, policies and objectives;
• Proficiency in ICT; and
• Any other qualification relevant to the Registration and Licensing function, as may be
approved by the Board of Directors.
