V/NO.5/2021: FOREST OFFICER JOB GROUP âKâ (6 POSTS)
Duties and responsibilities:-
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
a) coordinating and monitoring the implementation of silvicultural operations;
b) rehabilitating degraded sites;
c) collecting data and compiling reports pertaining to forest protection and biodiversity
conservation;
d) undertaking enrichment planting;
e) monitoring and reporting on tree diseases, pests and invasive species; and
f) supervising tree nursery operations.
Requirements for appointment:-
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
(i) Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry/environmental studies or equivalent qualification
from a recognized institution; and
(ii) Certificate in computer application skills.
