Reporting to the Accountant, the job holder will be responsible for providing support to the Accounting Department by maintaining accounting documents, processing payments and preparation of audit file schedules by:
(i) Handling communication with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person;
(ii) Recording and processing transactions;
(iii) Assisting in filing financial reports and documents;
(iv) Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies;
(v) Receiving and maintaining accounting documents, updating imprest and assets registers;
(vi) Preparing preliminary monthly and quarterly expenditure analysis and budgetary draft reports and various other reports and returns as required.
(vii) Assisting in the implementation of internal controls and examine the payment process for accuracy;
(viii) Collecting and delivering all departmental correspondence both internally and externally; and
(ix) Developing individual work plans, monitoring own performance and seeking requisite support to ensure delivery of agreed targets.

i. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
ii. Be detail oriented, have ability to meet deadl
ines, while delivering on high quality results;
iii. Proficiency in computer applications; and
iv. Meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
d) Terms of Service
The appointment will be on temporary terms of service for a period of one (1) year
