The Job holder is responsible to a Principal Motor Vehicle Inspector for Inspection of motor
vehicles to ascertain their roadworthiness.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Verification of vehicle inspection documents;
• Inspect and test of vehicles;
• Issuing stickers to compliant vehicles;
• Data entry of inspection results into the system;
• Prepare inspection reports and forwarding to the Principal Motor Vehicle Inspector for review;
• Affixing of the roadworthiness certificate/validation of inspection results into the RFID;
• Preparation and issuing of prohibition orders;
• Conduct motor vehicle accident investigations and prepare the reports; and
• Superintending on assistant inspectors and interns at the inspection centre.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Automotive Engineering or a related field from
a recognized institution;
• Computer proficiency;
• A valid Driving License free from any current endorsements;
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, analytical skills, communication skills,
computing skills and report writing skills.
• Any other qualifications relevant to the Motor Vehicle Inspection function, as may be
approved by the Board of Directors
