Job Specifications
Duties and responsibilities entails; -
(i) Developing programmes, strategies and mechanisms for delivery of services to
Micro and Small Enterprises;
(ii) Coordinating implementing, monitoring and evaluating policies, projects and
programmes in relation to Micro and Small Enterprises.;
(iii) Coordinating County Enterprise Development Centres programs;
(iv) Undertaking micro financing, marketing, infrastructure, and start up
programmes and support;
(v) Monitoring the implementation of programmes, strategies and activities
relating to the Micro and Small Enterprises sector;
(vi) Coordinating MSE programmes in the counties;
(vii) Coordinating Regional events/programmes;
(viii) Coordinating resource mobilization and partnerships;
(ix) Compiling training and exhibition reports;
(x) Preparation of annual work plans;
(xi) Coordinating preparation of MSEA reports;
(xii) Coordinating preparation of performance contracts;
(xiii) Coordinating and monitoring implementation of activities and programmes
for the Authority;
(xiv) Coordinating preparation of performance contracts for the departmental staff.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
(i) Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Entrepreneurship,
Business Management, Administration, Strategic Management, Agri-Business,
Marketing, Commerce, Enterprise Development, Human Resource
Management/Development, arts and design or any other social sciences from
a recognized Institution;
(ii) Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: Entrepreneurship, Business
Management, Administration, Strategic Management, Agri-Business,
Marketing, Commerce, Enterprise Development, Human Resource
Management/Development, arts and design or any other social sciences from
a recognized Institution;
(iii) At least ten (10) years relevant work experience, five (5) of which must have
been in a management role; and
(iv) Relevant Professional qualification and membership to a professional body;
(v) Attended a Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks;
(vi) Computer proficiency;
(vii) Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution
