Job Grade: BMA 7
Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 56,000 - Kshs. 99,500 p.m.
House Allowance: Kshs. 15,000
Commuter Allowance: Kshs. 14,000
Leave allowance: Kshs. 4,000
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Job Specification:
Reporting to Senior Administrator Officer, the job holder will be responsible for repairs, cleaning &
maintenance of machines and the institutional infrastructure in various fields such as: electrical wiring
& installation, electronics, solar PV, refrigeration and air conditioning.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Artisan will be responsible for: -
i. Providing routine maintenance of the Academy’s infrastructure and instalments
ii. Coordinating and reporting on maintenance programmes for assets within the institution.
iii. Overseeing any contracted vendors in maintenance issues.
iv. Maintaining records and databases and assisting to manage inventory.
Person Specification:
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have the following: -
i. Minimum D+KCSE qualification
ii. Government Trade Test I Certificate/ Diploma/ Craft Certificate in electrical occupational
fields from a recognized institution
iii. Experience of four (4) years in relevant field
iv. Proficiency in computer applications will be an added advantage
Successful candidates will be required to submit valid compliance certificates from Kenya Revenue
Authority, Ethics and Anti- Corruption, a registered Credit Reference Bureau, Higher Education Loans
Board and a certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations before
commencement of the employment contract.
