POSITION OVERVIEW
The Account Manager is responsible for the effective management of all client projects and the smooth week-by week running of the account. This position proactively and positively manages the relationship between the Client and Agency team.

KEY RESULTS AREAS AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
Client Management
• Understands and articulates client strategy, can steer this with insight when require
• Define client challenges, lead and participate in brainstorming sessions, and evaluate creative ideas from clients and staff
• Respond appropriately and immediately to client requests and concerns, and keeping clients informed of the status of projects
• Clear partner and advisor to day to day implementation of client activities
• Support development and execution of effective strategic marketing plans across business functions
Talent Management and Relationship building
• Mature calm leader of internal cross-functional teams – inspires teams to strive for superior client results
• Creates actionable development plans accompanied by effective ongoing dialogue with team members and delegate effectively
• Responsible for effective team communication, both written and verbal, ensuring all team members and clients receive contact reports, briefs, market information, timing schedules, minutes etc.
• Develop team through coaching and mentoring
• Motivate other members of the project team during difficult times, absorbing their anxieties and keep the project moving forward
Commercial Management
• Responsible for budget control for projects
• Ensures that all work in progress can be reconciled and billed
• Ensures that all invoices are issued quickly and correctly and that reconciliation meetings are held with suppliers as appropriate
• Ensures work is produced on time and within budget
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Degree in communication/Marketing or any other related field
• 3-4 years’ experience in agency/marketing/communication background
• Outstanding writing and verbal communication skills, and a passion for building and maintaining client and vendor relationships
• The ability to lead multi-functional teams towards strategy execution
• Full awareness of agency processes and techniques
• Experience of working across several projects simultaneously, juggling the day to day work and still produce quality work under tight deadlines
• Experience in managing teams
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office, Word, Excel, PPT
