Requirements
-Job Purpose:
- The job holder will be responsible for providing leadership in the review, research and development of judicial education curriculum and material for judicial training programs in accordance with clearly established policies and procedures.
- Reporting Responsibilities
- The job holder is responsible to the Director, Kenya Judiciary Academy
- Area of Deployment:
- Kenya Judiciary Academy Secretariat, (KJA)
- For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have the following minimum qualifications:
- i.Master’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, Jurisprudence or relevant Social Sciences;
- ii.Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, Jurisprudence or relevant Social Sciences;
- iii.Membership in a relevant professional body and in good standing;
- iv.A Course in Strategic Leadership Development or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
- v.Proficiency in computer application skills; and
- vi.Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
- Experience:
- Minimum twelve (12) years’ work-experience specifically in legal education design, implementation and evaluation with at least six (6) years in Middle Level Management.

Duties and Responsibilities
-i.Providing strategic leadership and direction within the Judicial Education and Curriculum Development unit;
- ii.Developing judicial education curricula, and overseeing its implementation and evaluation;
- iii.Coordinating research on judicial education needs assessment, curriculum development and training evaluation;
- iv.Conducting user surveys and using the results to measure satisfaction with the judiciary, and plan court-based education;
- v.Working with court users to design, develop and stage judicial education programmes;
- vi.Assessing training needs, developing training curricula and assessing the effectiveness of training programmes; and
- vii.Designing, developing and managing a multi-disciplinary judicial education and professional training activities while integrating emerging developments, technologies and methodologies.
