Job Description

The County Government of Kiambu wishes to recruit Board Members to join the Board of
Directors of Karuri Water and Sanitation Company Limited.
Karuri Water and Sanitation Company Limited is a Water Service Provider wholly owned by
the County Government of Kiambu mandated with providing water and sanitation services
within Kiambaa constituency and its surrounding.
The Board of Directors of the Company comprises of stakeholders identified as per the
memorandum and articles of association in line with the regulator’s guidelines.
The Company has three (3) vacancies to be filled by any of the below stakeholders operating
within the Company’s service area:
i. Manufacturers
ii. Business Community
iii. Residence Associations
iv. Religious Organizations
v. Education Institutions
vi. Pro-Poor / Informal Settlement
vii. Non – Governmental Organization and Other Non-State Actors;
viii. Cooperatives
ix. Persons Living with Disabilities; and
x. Youth.

Applications are invited from the nominees of the above-mentioned stakeholders’ who must
meet the following criteria:
a. A Bachelor’s Degree from an institution recognized in Kenya.
b. Demonstrate experience and acumen in a business or any profession or trade for at least 5 years.
c. Demonstrate participation in local development initiatives.
d. Be in good standing with the nominating organization; and
e. Be a resident within the Company’s service area.
