Job Description.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
• Responsible for the professional preparation and service of meals;
• Receive menu interpretation from the immediate supervisor:
• Set up work stations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment;
• Check quality of ingredients;
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen;
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as boilers, ovens, grills, fryers and any other kitchen equipment;
• Ensure portion control during service time to ensure right quantity of food is served; and
• Preparing, production and placement of food.
Job Specification.
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
• Certificate in Food and Beverage Production, Food and Beverage service and sales or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution:
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade D+ (Plus) or its approved equivalent:
• Food handlers” certificate; and Certificate in computer skills,
Terms of Service
• The successful candidate will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service. The Minimum basic salary for this position will range from Kshs. 18,908 — Kshs. 25,899 per month exclusive of allowances,
