POSITION NAME: ASSISTANT ICT MANAGER (REF.
KEMSA/HRA/AICTM/HR/6/2024)
GRADE: SA4

BASIC SALARY: As per scale
LOCATION:
The successful candidate will be deployed in the ICT Department, supporting the ICT
Manager.
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Reporting to the ICT Manager, the Assistant ICT Manager will be charged with the
responsibility of deputizing and supporting the Department on implementation of the ICT
strategy.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The jobholder will have the following principal accountabilities:
1. Participates in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports
2. Supervising, mentoring and coaching staff within the department.
3. Support in planning and budgeting for the ICT resources.
4. Supporting the provision of computer server services.
5. Supporting the provision of computer network resources.
6. Supporting computer software services.
7. Supporting management on the computer resources requirements for the
organization.
8. Maintaining security of the computer resources.
9. Supporting the data protection and recovery systems.
10. Support the maintenance and updating of the Authority’s website.
11. Supporting the PABX system.
12. Liaison with ICT vendors on various aspects that include service and maintenance
through the existing Service Level Agreements.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
The requisite qualifications for this position will be as follows:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology or other
related qualifications from a recognized institution.
2. Diploma in Information Communication Technology or equivalent qualification.
3. Possession of professional qualifications such as CCNA, MCP, PMP, ITIL
4. At least five (5) years’ working experience, with three (3) years in a Supervisory
role.
