Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include but not limited to:
• Overall management of housekeeping services of the Institute I.e. Coordinating, organizing and supervising all the MTTI cleaners.
• Organizing, planning, budgeting, procuring, coordination and management of housekeeping.
• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is achieved throughout the institution including the immediate outside areas are neat and tidy on a daily basis.
• Planning accommodation and establishing cleaning standards and procedures to all MTTI cleaners.
• Maintenance and cleaning of the Institute’s hostel buildings and equipment.
• Ensuring compliance by all housekeeping staff with their occupational objectives, safety, environmental and infection control.
• Keeping proper records of hostel inventory.
• Maintenance of proper records of movement of other sundries.
• Ensuring the general welfare of students in hostel.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to MTTI Integrated Management System based on Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015) and Information Management System(ISO/IEC27001:2003)
• Perform any other lawful duty that be assigned to you by the management.
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: - Housekeeping and Laundry, Home Economics or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
• Demonstrated relevant experience as a housekeeper.
• Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police Service; and
• Certificate in computer applications.
