Basic Salary Scale: Ksh 44,400 – Ksh 61,110 p.m. House Allowance: Kshs. 9,600 p.m Commuter Allowance: Ksh 6,000 p.m. Leave Allowance: As provided in the Civil Service Annual Leave: 30 working days per financial year Medical Cover: As provided by the Government
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an applicant must:
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen.
ii. Have served in the grade of Chief Clerical Officer for at least three (3) years;
iii. Bachelor Degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or any other approved equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
iv. Be in possession of an ICT Diploma and be proficient in Word Processors, Spread Sheets, presentation and Database;
v. Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
vi. Previous experience in an administration role.
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Coordination of clerical work in a section.
ii. Maintenance of general cleanliness and security of buildings and equipment.
iii. Planning of office accommodation and layout.
iv. Previous experience in an administration role.
v. Knowledge of managing accounts, budgeting and preparing financial reports.
vi. Knowledge and experience of accounts software package(s).
vii. Strong IT skills particularly Excel and MS Office package.
viii. Ability to communicate well (both written and oral), including with staff.
ix. Ability to complete tasks to deadline.
x. Well organized with experience in developing efficient administrative systems.
xi. Capacity to build positive working relationships with senior management and colleagues
