TRACTOR – OPERATOR, JOB GROUP D (10) TEN POSTS ADVERT NO. 47/2021/2022
Basic Salary: Kshs; 14,610 x 510-15,120 x 550 – 15,670 x 580 – 16,250 p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Operating tractors and attachments of difficult rating B ( One of which must be motor graders and ploughing tractors)
(ii) Keeping monthly records of the plants
(iii) Preparing monthly and weekly service schedules and ensuring that they are adhered to,
(iv) Guiding turn boys and machine Assistants
(v) Repairing minor defects on machines
(vi) Liaising with officers in charge for major repairs
(vii) Charged with ensuring safety of the tractor
(viii) Charged with ensuring that the tractor is in good condition
(ix) Ensuring cleanliness of the tractors
(x) Assisting in training junior tractor operators
Requirements for Appointment
(i) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D- (Minus) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
(ii) Have passed the suitability test for tractor operators/Drivers Grade III;
(iii) Possess a valid Driving Licence free from current endorsements for class (es) of Machine(s) that one may be required to operate;
(iv) At least two (2) years previous satisfactory driving experience,
(v) Certificate of Good Conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigation
