FILM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER-LIAISON (JOB GRADE KFC 6)-JOB REF NO: KFC/HRA/FDOL/2021- 1 POST
(a) Job Purpose
The Film Development Officers are responsible for spearheading capacity development and developing incentives to enhance the growth of the film industry.
The officer will be reporting to Principal Certification and Accreditation Officer and will be responsible for:
i. Implementing policies, standards, guidelines and procedures on film production, liaison and location services;
ii. Networking with film studios and facility houses;
iii. Collecting data on technical factors influencing film-makers in their choice of destinations for production and post-production services;
iv. Identifying suitable locations for film shooting;
v. Taking part in sensitization of clients and stakeholders on permission rights and clearance for film makers and producers;
(b) Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
i. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:- Film and Theatre Arts, Film Production, Drama and
Theatres Studies, Performing Arts and Film Technology, Communication, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
ii. Proficiency in Computer applications; and
iii. Met the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
INTEGRITY CLEARANCE:
In addition to the qualifications set above, shortlisted candidates will be required to provide copies of clearance
certificates/letters of good standing from the following;
1. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
2. Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
3. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
4. Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
5. Credit Bureau Reference.
TERMS OF SERVICE
An attractive remunerative package, commensurate to qualifications, experience and responsibilities and in
line with government guidelines will be offered to the successful applicant. The appointment is on a permanent
and pensionable terms.
