POSITION: SOCIAL/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER II JOB GROUP CPSB 10
Number of Posts: One (1) Post
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary Scale: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission
Duties and responsibilities
1. Working with communities and self-help groups to identify their social economic need;
2. Guiding communities to identify and mobilize local resource for the implementation of
development projects;
3. Mainstreaming disability in programs and projects
4. Training communities and groups in live hood projects
5. Registering persons with disability, poor and vulnerable individual for social development
programs
6. Collecting data on accessibilities on opportunities for men and women
7. Liaising with local communities and other development agencies in implementing
community development programs
8. Mobilizing communities for the implementation of their development programs and
projects
Requirements for Appointment
1. Kenya Certificate of secondary Education (KCSE)mean grade C+ or its recognized
equivalent qualification; and,
2. Bachelor Degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Work, Community
Development, Social Development, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Counseling or
equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
