Job Description
DEPUTY DIRECTOR, MANUSCRIPTS SERVICES:KNEC GRADE 3 (1 POST)
(a) Job Specifications
(i) Managing the process of receiving, documenting, storing, and retrieving
examination/assessment manuscripts;
(ii) Preparing departmental work plan, procurement plan, and budget;
(iii) Appraising the performance of Assistant Director, Manuscripts Services Officers,
Principal Manuscripts Services Officers, Senior Officers, and Manuscripts Services
Officers;
(iv) Implementing Quality Management System for continual improvement;
(v) Implementing Council and Management decisions;
(vi) Advising the Director, Test Development on any issues relating to Manuscripts
Services.
(b) Person Specifications
(i) At least twelve (12) years cumulative relevant work experience, four (4) of which
should have served at management level;
(ii) Bachelors Degree in Education (Business Studies) from a recognized institution; OR
Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education
from a recognized institution; OR
Bachelors Degree in Business Studies (Secretarial Studies) from a recognized
university;
(iii) Masters degree from a recognized institution;
(iv) Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized
institution;
(v) Demonstrated professional competence and administrative capability as reflected in
work performance and results;
(vi) Proficiency in computer applications.
