DIRECTOR CORPORATE SERVICES : KNRA 2 ONE (1) POST Vacancy No. KNRA/01/2023
An officer at this level will head the Directorate of Corporate Services, overseeing the Human Resources Management and Administration, Finance and Accounts and Corporate Communication Divisions. The officer will be responsible to the Director General.
Terms of Service: 3-year Contract renewable once.
Remuneration: Salary and Benefits are those attached to KNRA Grade 2
For appointment to this Grade, a candidate must have:
i. A minimum of twelve (12) years relevant working experience, five (5) years of which should have been at the management level;
ii. Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Human Resource Management, Finance, Public Administration, Business Administration any other relevant and equivalent qualification from recognized institution;
iii. Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Human Resource Management, Finance, Public Policy, Strategic Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from recognized institution;
iv. Leadership coursing lasting not less than four (4) weeks or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
v. Professional qualification and membership to a professional body in good standing, where applicable;
vi. Proficiency in computer applications; and
vii. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Coordinate the development and implementation of policies, plans and strategies in the functional areas of Finance and Accounting, Human Resource and Administration, Information Communications Technology and Corporate communication;
ii. Manage the operations of the functions of finance and accounts, human resource and administration, information technology and corporate communications;
iii. Oversee the mobilization of resources from the Government, development partners, private sector and other stakeholders to meet the mandate of the Authority;
iv. Coordinate the development and negotiation of proposals for strategic partnerships;
v. Coordinate the development and negotiation of proposals for strategic partnerships;
vi. Ensure compliance with Government policies, circulars and statutory requirements;
vii. Guarantee timely submission of statutory reports to the relevant authorities;
viii. Manage Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes;
ix. Provide interface between the Authority and other stakeholders to ensure enhanced corporate image, visibility and stakeholder engagement;
x. Oversee the development and implementation of financial regulations, strategies, internal controls and plans for effective and efficient use of resources;
xi. Oversee Budget preparation and implementation;
xii. Coordinate the development of resource mobilization strategies;
xiii. Coordinate preparation of the financial reports, financial statements and submission to relevant institutions;
xiv. Coordinate the design and review of administrative structure of the Organization, direction and control for effective organizational performance;
xv. Inculcate a culture that promotes team capability and reflects the values which facilitate performance, professionalism and innovation by staff throughout the Authority;
xvi. Coordinate the Authority’s human capital affairs, ensuring that the Authority has the right and sufficient human resource to meet its objectives;
xvii. Oversee Human Resources development and succession plan;
xviii. Coordinate the Authority’s Management Information Systems and security;
xix. Coordinate technology infrastructure in line with the Authority’s goals and changing technologies;
xx. Provide technical, strategic and policy advice on ICT matters and implementation of various ICT work processes, procedures and other administrative related matters; and
xxi. Coordinate the development of appropriate public communication strategies; preparing public education materials and communication plans for awareness creation.
