Job Description

a) Key Responsibilities
Reporting to Senior Director/Licensing, Standards, and Frequency Management, the duties and responsibilities of this position shall entail.
i. Providing advisory services to CA management and Board on all matters pertaining to frequency spectrum management:
ii Managing the utilization of radio frequency spectrum resource to ensure maximum efficiency and optimal utilization;
iii. Undertaking radio frequency spectrum planning, taking into account the need to facilitate new and emerging technologies;
iv. Undertaking frequency spectrum assignment in accordance with the prescribed policies and guidelines:
v Maintaining a database pertaining to the radio frequency technical information;
vi. Articulating and presenting national positions on frequency governance issues at regional and international fora.

b) Minimum Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant should meet the following specifications -
i. A minimum period of twelve (12) years in relevant work experience and at least four (4) years in management role in a position in the Public Service or Private Sector;
ii. Relevant Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic /Telecommunications Engineering, Commerce. Economics, relevant physical sciences or any other related field from a recognized institution;
iii. Relevant Masters degree. in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications Engineering, Commerce. Economics, Business Management, or any other related field from a recognized institution;
iv. Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution:
v. Member of a relevant professional body and in good standing, where applicable; vi. Proficiency in computer applications:
vii. Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Terms and Conditions of Service
The Authority will offer competitive package in line with the Public Service Guidelines. The appointments shall be for a five (5) year Contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
