Reports to: Senior Cash Officer
Purpose Of The Job
The role of the Cater Teller is to receive and issue of cash and cheques to the SACCO's customers.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Handle customer transactions regarding receiving and making cash payments and non-cash equivalent and reconciliations
• Receive and issue both bankers and local cheques to SACCO's customers.
• Manage the cash levels in line with cash holding policy and SASRA regulation in respect to the same.
• Reconciling cash balances by EOB
• EFTs confirmation and process initiation.
• Processing of internal funds transfers
• Booking the mobile banking applications in the system and tinning mobile banking application reports
• Reconciliations and initiate posting of pending MPESA transactions to ensure accurate and timely postings.
• Monitoring and supporting of mobile loans uptake
• Running account activation reports.
• Preparation and presentation of comprehensive, timely and reliable daily and monthly reports. • Performs any other duties as assigned from time to time
Experience
• 2 years' experience in cash/Teller services in a bank or a busy SACCO of similar magnitude.
• Experience in handling large sums of cash transactions and corporate clients.
Academic Qualification
• CPA I or Diploma in business related field.
Professional Qualification
• Basic Accounting or statistics
