Purpose Of The Job
The Corporate affairs is a marketing staff who coordinates and facilitates internal and external PR, branding, and communication activities within the operations department, with the goal to strengthen the Sacco's position in the Market. He she monitors and responds to relevant market activities and advises the senior Business Development officer and Head of Operations to reposition the Sacco in the Sector.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Develops, executes, and manages member engagements activities daily.
• Monitors the overall image of the Sacco and is the first contact and knowledge base internally and externally regarding all communication issues.
• Coordinates and facilitates ongoing internal and external PR and communication activities.
• Facilitates the marketing activities that lead to brand enhancement and awareness
• Participates in building and maintaining a network of relations within the Sacco Sector and key stakeholders.
• Ensures that the Sacco image is aligned to its overall objectives.
• Evaluates, creates and or updates communication materials (internal/external, print and electronic): writing articles, brochures, flyers, website content, forms etc.
• Facilitates member engagements functions like open days, fun days group meetings, corporation days etc.
• Participates in the review and updating of the Sacco websites.
• Develops and reviews SACCO newsletters and documentaries.
• Develops and maintains excellent relationships with key stakeholder's and communications partners.
• Prepares and submits an annual communications operational plans and budgets.
• Improve on the communication channels of the SACCO.
• Effectively manages the social media platform on leverage ion it to promote the Sacco business.
• Collaborates with Contracted staff and partners in developing and executing communication strategies.
• Performs any other responsibilities as may be directed from time to time.
Experience
2 years' experience in marketing, PR and communication
Academic Qualification
A degree in Communication/PR or Marketing
Professional Qualification
• Post graduate training or diploma training in PR: Communication or marketing
