POSITION: ASSISTANT AGRICULTURE AND LIAISON OFFICER III JOB GROUP
CPSB 12
Number of Posts: Two (2) Posts
Terms of Service: Permanent
Basic Salary Scale: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission
Duties and Responsibilities will entail:
An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer
1. Support agriculture, extension and research liaison activities in the county;
2. Support farmers group, cooperative societies and product value addition facilities across
the county;
3. Plain, coordinating and support agriculture research;
4. Support marketing intelligence and services
5. Carrying out practical demonstration relating to agriculture;
6. Accompanying extension teams during farm visits and farmer training;
7. Participating in field days and agriculture shows to disseminate agriculture technologies
and information;
8. Collecting and collating agriculture data and information for gross margins, market access
and planning;
9. Advising farmers on group formation, climate change issues and others agricultural related
issues; and,
10. Any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements for Appointments
1. Certificate in any of the following fields:- General Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture
Education and Extension or related training from a recognized Training Institution;
2. Specializations in Organic farming. Handling farmer group, sales and marketing working
with research and inputs suppliers is an added advantage.
