Job Description

Shirika Deposit Taking SACCO Society Ltd is a National and a fast-growing SACCO based in Nairobi with a membership of over 9,500 spread across Kenya drawn from government Ministries, Counties and other private organizations. The SACCO is regulated by the SACCO regulatory body-SASRA. We intend to fill the position on a three-year performance based renewable employment contract.

FOSA MANAGER (JOB REF: SHRK/HR/2023/001)
a) Minimum Requirement:
First degree in business field preferably in Finance or Accounting
Five Year Experience at management level in a SACCO, banking or Micro Finance industry
CPA K or ACCA level III qualification mandatory.
iMust be a bonafide ICPAK member
Applicants with MBA qualification have added advantage.
Sound knowledge of Deposit Taking SACCO's and SASRA's guidelines Knowledge of anti-money laundering and Data protection laws.
Clearance from the following bodies: Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Clearance from registered Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and HELB.

c) Duties and Responsibilities
Processes all payments through FOSA (FOSA/BOSA loans, members' salaries);
Supervise all FOSA transactions and ensure sufficient cash flows
Custodian of Member ATM cards
Will be in charge of treasury management
Ensure daily and periodical preparation of FOSA operation reports
Ensuring interest on FOSA loans is charged appropriately and all loan recoveries done on a monthly basis.
Designing, administering and interpreting FOSA policies and procedures
Ensure proper security measures are put in place and adhered to; insurance of cash and other assets, custody of keys, tellers cash limits and ensure operation and ability of security system such as alarm and CCTV
Attend Credit Committee Meetings and implement the recommendations/ Preparation & verification of Credit Committee report.
Loan default-analysis of FOSA loans.
Assist in review and development of FOSA Product and services
Any other duty as delegated by the Supervisor from time to time
