Office Administrator (AFGM 7) - Vacancy No. AFGM/15/2023 (1post)-
Permanent and Pensionable
a. Duties and Responsibilities
i. Typing from manuscripts;
ii. Recording dictation in shorthand and transcribing it in typewritten form;
iii. Assisting in processing data;
iv. Management of e-office;
v. Ensuring security of office records, documents and equipment; operating office
equipment;
vi. Assisting in management of office protocol;
vii. Managing office petty cash;
viii. Handling telephone calls and appointments; and
ix. Assisting in undertaking any other secretarial duties that may be assigned.
b. Requirements for Appointment
i. Bachelor’s degree in either Secretarial Studies or Bachelor of Business and Office
Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
OR
Bachelor’s degree in any of the Social Sciences plus a Diploma in Secretarial Studies
from a recognized institution; and
ii. Proficiency in computer applications.
c. Essential skills and Competencies
i. Oral and written communication skills.
ii. Interpersonal skills.
iii. Detail-oriented.
