Job Summary
Reporting to General Manager, Corporate Services, the job holder is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: -

Duties & Responsibilities
i. Acquisition of land for energy infrastructure, logistical and related uses through allocation, outright purchase, or leasing.
ii. Implementing strategies on management of corporate real estate portfolio for effective execution of company’s objectives and provision of suitable facilities.
iii. Facilitating land management and lease administration towards securing company’s rights and interests and managing the obligation of the various land tenures.
iv. Administering land use plans and space plans and facilitating sustainable use of company property
v. Diversification of income through letting of surplus real estate and co-locating.
vi. Facilitating tenant management, rent collection, and management of common areas.
vii. Providing guidance and advice on policy, technical and operational issues regarding real estate and construction.
viii. Safe custody of property documents and records.
ix. Processing and managing title deeds.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
i. Minimum relevant experience of twelve (12) years with at least five (4) years in a management role
ii. Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Estate Management, Property Management and Valuation, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Building or equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
iii. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Land Economics, Real Estate or equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
iv. Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks.
v. Membership of the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or Kenya Institute of Planners/Town and County Planners of Kenya.
vi. Registered Valuer / Estate Agent / Physical Planner.
vii. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
