Requirement for Appointment
i) Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology or any Social Science Degree with a postgraduate Diploma in Criminology
ii) Relevant professional qualifications where applicable and Hands-on experience in collection of intelligence;
iii) Minimum work experience of three (3) year in investigation.
iv) Successful applicant to meet the requirement of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity
Duties and Responsibilities
i) Undertake investigation of all offences cases reported and evaluate information in order to produce analyzed reports.
ii) Monitor offences trends within the County Government and recommend remedial measures to the management.
iii) Gather, interpret and present supporting evidence on corruption / offences
iv) Obtains evidence, written statements and documentation on matter under investigation,
v) Carry out special investigations as assigned by the controlling officer.
vi) Investigation to matters related to damage to official property.
vii) Participate of surveillance activities in the county.
viii) Testify on offences cases in Courts representing the County Government where applicable.
ix) Participate in formulation of investigative policies, procedures, and guidelines.
x) Liaise with police in tracing the witnesses and availing them in court where applicable.
xi) Ensure that evidence collected are registered and secured
