POSITION: DIRECTOR SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT JOB GROUP CPSB 03
Number of Posts: One (1) Post
Terms of Service: Four (4) Years Contract
Basic Salary Scale: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission
Duties and responsibilities
1. Providing guidance in overall supply chain management policy and management;
2. Issuing administrative guidelines on interpretation and implementation of public
procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015 and other statutes, policies, rules, treaties and
regulations that may impact on the supply chain management;
3. Implementing E-Procurement strategize for effective & efficient service delivery;
4. Providing overall guidance on contract design and management;
5. Undertaking capacity building of staff at the County level;
6. Formulating of supply chain management policies;
7. Responsible for planning, organizing, administration and control of Supply Chain
Management units; and,
8. Ensuring compliance with the values and principals as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of
the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
Requirements for Appointment:
1. A Bachelor's Degree in any of the following; Commerce, Business Administration,
Economics, Procurement and supplies Management or equivalent at any recognized
institution;
2. Having carried out comparative/ supervisory Duties in Supply Chain Management;
3. Should be a member of Kenyan Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or its equivalent
professional body and with a valid Practicing license;
4. Knowledge in IFMIS E-Procurement is an added advantage;
5. Relevant working experience of at least 5 years in a public entity or a comparable
organization; and,
6. Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a
recognized institution.
