Job specification
Bachelor’s Degree in Water Engineering Technology or
Civil Engineering or any other related Engineering
Degree from a recognized institution
Registrable with professional Body (EBK and IEK)
At least one (1) year work experience
KCSE certificate
Proficiency in Computer Aided Design; AUTOCAD,
CIVIL 3D will be an added advantage
Proficiency in Computer skills (MS office)

Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for assisting with strategic and long-
term water system planning.
2. Assisting with the reviews of water system
capacity and service evaluations associated with
water service extension projects and other
potential service growth opportunities.
3. Provide project recommendations through the use
of computerized hydraulic modeling and analysis.
4. Manage multiple projects and perform varied
engineering assignments associated with
planning, design, or construction.
5. Gather and analyze water system data to assist in
the preparation of strategic water system planning
studies.
6. Ensure scope and quality of work achieve the
intent of all Design Concepts and Company
standards for capacity, performance, reliability,
safety and regulatory compliance.
7. Develop technical information and concepts into
feasible and effective engineering approaches.
8. Develop strategic and strong working
relationships with engineering firms, vendors, and
contractors for the benefit of NYAHUWASCO.
9. Provide technical expertise on engineering and
operational issues.
10.Contribute to effective communication by
listening and providing constructive feedback;
supporting the creation of an open and honest
work environment; cascading and sharing
knowledge and information relevant to other
members of the team and colleagues across the
business.
11.Supervise, train, manage performance and
motivate staff in the department to ensure
improvement of professional skills.
