Job Description:
• Ensuring appropriate Database management and administration;
• Monitoring Information systems and trouble-shooting of all systems in the Society;
• Ensure safe custody of data and information
• Ensure prompt data processing and transmission;
• Ensuring proper maintenance of ICT related equipment and security of hardware and software;
• Undertaking feasibility studies of proposed ICT systems:
• Give advice on acquisition of hardware and software
• Ensuring smooth operation in all terminals within the Local Area Network and Wide Area Network, liaising with ICT suppliers and support services providers;
• Development, Implementation and management of computerized information systems:
• Ensuring systems integrity, availability and security;
• Ensuring proper functioning of all systems in the Society:
• Maintaining a backup system for all the data in the Society and storing them safely;
• Assigning User IDs and User rights and implementation of controls in the Society system:
• Reporting system breakdowns and failures immediately to CEO and the system vendor for quick action;
• Formulation and implementation of ICT policies;
• Providing appropriate information and guidance on emerging and best practices in ICT;
• Coordination, development and upgrading of websites
• Monitoring the ATM/mobile banking for continuous operations.
• Ensure all the telecommunication links are stable at all times.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
• Enhance customer satisfaction by providing on line help and feedback mechanisms
• Seek authority for any amendment to be made in the system from the C.E.O
Necessary Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or its equivalent from a recognized university
• Professional qualification In ICT (MSCE or IVISCD or IBA)
• KCSE mean grade of C+ and above
• Must be between 30-45 years
Skills and Desired Qualities:
• Ability to formulate, implement and monitor ICT Policies, Standards and Procedures,
• Advanced decision making and problem solving skills Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Team player
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Extensive experience In hardware and software support and management
• Unquestionable Integrity and strong ethical standards
Experience:
• Over 5 years relevant experience
• Experience In the Sacco sector Is an added advantage
• Experience In the financial services sector is also an added advantage
