Functional Purpose
Reporting to the General Manager and based in Nyeri, the overall purpose of this role is to manage and guide the provision of Human Resources and Administration services, across the company.
Key roles
• Develop and monitor implementation of effective human resources strategies and policies in line with business strategy.
• Recruit, deploy, develop, and retain talents.
• Develop and maintain a cohesive and flexible performance-based culture that will deliver on the Company's objectives.
• Carry out manpower demand and supply forecasts and design human resource action plans to bridge staffing gaps and deal with surpluses.
• Develop and maintain robust administrative systems on Records Management, Transport, and office maintenance.
• Manage Employee Relations, Welfare, Safety and Health to foster a conducive work environment and ensure legal compliance.
• Develop and implement strategies for employee motivation.
• Effective management of employee compensation and benefits inclusive of payroll preparation and advice.
• Efficient discipline management, ensuring legal compliance and minimizing disciplinary issues.
• Develop and inculcate a culture of high performance in the Company.
Qualifications and competencies
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Business Administration or Social Sciences from a recognized institution.
• Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management is an added advantage.
• Member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRLM) with a valid practicing certificate.
• Over five (5) years HR experience in a busy institution. Experience in construction industry will be an added advantage.
