The Job Profile
Functional Purpose
Reporting to the General Manager and based in Nyeri, the FM is overall responsible and accountable for the day-to-day financial operations, implementation, monitoring and developing financial policies for the company.
Key roles
• Develop and implement Finance Departments Strategy and annual work plans.
• Implement and maintain an up-to-date financial management policy and procedures manual
• Lead the budgetary planning processes.
• Oversee, review, and adhere to the budgets for each business Line and department.
• Efficient cash flow management
• Ensure that all financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation.
• Supervision of the internal management control team and assistance with setting up new standards and regulations.
• Liaise with Risk and External Audit to develop an internal control environment that safeguards the organizations assets.
• Supervision and approval of management control, planning, budgets, and reporting.
• Supervise and support Accounts department to deliver on Work Plan.
• Coordinate the internal and external auditors.
• Prepare and present monthly and annual financial reports.
Qualifications and competencies
• Must be a holder of bachelor's degree in finance/ Accounting from a recognized university
• Be a qualified Accountant and a member of ICPAK.
• At least five (5) years of experience in a finance team, ideally within the Financial Industry.
• Experience of working in financial services and construction sector
• Ability to drive financial decisions and organizational results
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Audit Skills will be an added advantage.
