Basic Salary: Kshs: 38,270 x 1,470 – 39,740 x 1,520 - 41,260 x 1,710 – 42,970 x 1,920
– 44,890 x 2,000 - 46,890 x 2,110 – 49,000 x 2,170 – 51,170p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities
This will be the entry and training grade for degree holders. An officer at this level will
be deployed in a project area in a district where he/she will be involved in the
implementation of engineering activities. Specific duties will include implementation of
programmes in soil and water conservation, mechanization extension and agro-
processing.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
(i) a Bachelor’s Degree in a field of Agricultural Engineering such as soil and
water, mechanization/farm power, structures or any other relevant and
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
(ii) Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya.
