REF: TUR/CPSB/030/2022/2023; ASSISTANT DIRECTOR ENFORCEMENT, JOB GROUP “P”
POSITION: ONE (1)
Duties and Responsibilities:-
i. Conduct all internal investigations and liaise with National Investigation Agencies for
referral;
ii. Investigate, collate, correlate, evaluate, interpret, disseminate and store information
which is relevant to the performance of the County Government;
iii. Detect and investigate all suspected fraudulent transactions within the County
Government of Turkana
iv. Take steps to protect the security interests of the county whether social, economic or
political;
v. Liaise with National Security Agencies and other security agencies in the county;
vi. Safeguard information systems and processes within the county departments
vii. Support and aid law enforcement agencies in detecting and preventing serious crimes and
other threats to the county government;
viii. Make recommendations to the security and enforcement on policies concerning
security at the county;
ix. Perform any other duties and tasks that might be assigned
For appointment to this position an officer must have; -
i. Must be a Citizen Kenyan
ii. Served in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private Sector for a
minimum period of nine (9) years;
iii. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines:-Security Management,
Criminology and Fraud Management, Criminology and Security Studies, Criminal
Justice; Police Science, Military Science, Forensic Investigations and Penology or its
equivalent from a recognized institution
OR
Approved Enforcement Officers Course or Police Training Course or Administration Police
Course from a recognized Government institution in Kenya.
iv. Computer literacy
v. Master’s degree in a relevant degree will be an added advantage
vi. Compliance with the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
